7. Avengers Assemble

A freshly unfrozen Cap, Iron Man (who’s attempting to be somewhat more of a team player), a hesitant Banner/Hulk, and Thor (who’s gone to Earth to save his brother) all band up to fight Loki. 8. Thor: Dark World

9. Iron Man 3
While this is all occurring, Tony is suffering given his experiences during the Battle of New York. Convinced that the only way to safeguard Earth and the ones he loves is with more Iron Man suits, Tony spends the better part of 2012 making suit after suit after suit, only for bombs to start going off all over the place, reportedly coordinated by the Mandarin.
During his research into the Mandarin, Tony finds that scientist Aldrich Killian is truly behind the assaults and that he’s abducted the President. 10. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
After the events of Avengers Assemble, Captain America is spending 2014 struggling to acclimate to present-day life when an assassin dubbed the Winter Soldier begins creating havoc for S.H.I.E.L.D. It turns out that the Winter Soldier is really Cap’s old pal Bucky from 1942 who’s been brainwashed and intermittently kept on ice by HYDRA. 11. Guardians Of The Galaxy

After being imprisoned and meeting Drax, the unexpected allies join together, escape, and decide to sell the stone in order to keep it away from bad guy Ronan, who plans to use it to destroy Xandar. Everything doesn’t go as planned, and they end up in a massive fight with Ronan, culminating in an embarrassing dance contest and a victory for the Guardians of the Galaxy.
12. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
No sooner had the Guardians of the Galaxy overcome Ronan, than they were confronted with another huge baddie in the same year, this time with some extra family turmoil. Star-Lord’s estranged, but extremely powerful daddy, Ego, arrives and claims he wants to teach Star-Lord his talents.
But, before they can get very far with the teachings, it turns out that Ego is a mass-murdering psychopath and the Guardians have to eliminate him, which isn’t as simple as it seems. At least they gained a new buddy in the shape of empath Mantis.
13. Avengers: Age Of Ultron
2015 saw the Avengers needing to regroup to battle another evil, although this time it was one of their own inventions. Well, Tony’s anyhow. Still urgently attempting to defend mankind, he constructs an A.I. robot named Ultron who’s more interested in enslaving humanity than preserving it.
The heroes have to work together – along with some new allies in the shape of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch – to kill Ultron, but it comes at a heavy price, with the destruction of Sokovia.
14. Ant-Man
While the Avengers were battling down Ultron, ex-con Scott Lang was sneaking into Hank Pym’s home and mistakenly stealing his Ant-Man costume. After being caught, Hank explains he set up the entire event to test whether Scott was skilled enough to become the next Ant-Man.
The good news is he passed, the bad news is that Hank needs his aid to stop his former protégé and all-around jerk, Darren Cross, from constructing his own suit. After practising with Hank and his daughter Hope, Scott eventually gets the shrinking thing down and saves the day.
15. Captain America: Civil War
After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the U.N. urges the Avengers to sign the Sokovia Accords and swear not to perform any superhero-ing until they’re instructed to. Unfortunately, only half the Avengers agree it’s a smart plan, with Iron Man and Captain America on opposite sides.
To make things worse, King T’Chaka is slain, purportedly by Cap’s old ally Bucky/the Winter Soldier, triggering an international issue involving Black Panther. The Avengers end up having a massive blowup, but Cap and Bucky track down the true killer, Zemo, and learn that he organised the entire event to divide the Avengers apart. That’s when Zemo admits Bucky murdered Iron Man’s parents, and Cap and Tony’s relationship is officially ended.
16. Black Widow
Later that same year, Natasha is on the run for breaking the Sokovia Accords when she finds out that the Red Room organisation that tortured and groomed her to be a Black Widow is still up and running.
With an antidote to the Black Widow’s mind-control, and her previous fake family in tow, Natasha chases down the leader of the Red Room, Dreykov who’s converted his own daughter into the ideal soldier, Taskmaster. Natasha and co utilise the antidote to save her and the other Black Widows and make arrangements to save the others, all over the globe.
17. Spider-Man: Homecoming
After joining up with Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War, Peter Parker/Spider-Man is back in his old neighbourhood when he finds that weapons developed from extraterrestrial science are being peddled by Adrian Toomes. He attempts to stop him but has to be rescued by Iron Man, who finally confiscates the suit he constructed for Peter when he believes he’s gotten too reckless.
Trying to go back to regular life, Peter invites his crush, Liz, to the prom, only to learn that her dad is Toomes. Awkward. Realizing Toomes is about to attempt to steal an aircraft full of extraterrestrial weaponry, Peter abandons his prom date to stop him.
18. Black Panther
After the death of his father in Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa returns to Wakanda to resume his rightful role as king, but swiftly learns that Wakandan treasures are being stolen. In his effort to catch the guy responsible, black market weapons dealer Ulysses Klaue, C.I.A. agent Everett K.
Ross is seriously damaged. Meanwhile, Klaue is double-crossed by his accomplice Erik Stevens/Killmonger who murders him, carries his corpse to Wakanda, and exposes himself to be T’Challa’s cousin. He challenges T’Challa to a ceremonial fight for the crown and wins. Planning to transfer Wakanda weaponry to his agents across the globe, T’Challa must collect his surviving friends to defeat him and become king once again.
19. Doctor Strange
Brilliant yet egotistical physician Dr. Stephen Strange gets in a vehicle accident that loses his hands. Devastated that he can no longer wield a scalpel, he traverses the globe seeking to find a solution and ultimately finds The Ancient One. After agreeing to instruct him in the mystic arts, Strange is studying how to become a sorcerer when a previous student, Kaecilius, attacks hunting for magic that would enable him to contact Dormammu of the Dark Dimension.
Killing The Ancient One, Kaecilius succeeds in reaching Dormammu, and Strange establishes a time loop prison for Dormammu until he decides to leave Earth permanently.
20. Thor Ragnarok
In 2017, Thor returns to Asgard to find his brother Loki is alive and impersonating their father, Odin. They reach their dad, only to learn he’s dying and that they allegedly have a nasty older sister, Hela, who’s only kept captive by Odin’s power. Once he dies Hela emerges and takes over Asgard, pledging to make war on the rest of the cosmos.
After escaping to Sakaar, Thor and Loki meet up with the Hulk (who has been MIA since the Age of Ultron), as well as Valkyrie, who becomes their new companion. It is their goal to return to Asgard and destroy Hela by bringing about Ragnarok/the apocalypse, and they do it by leaving aboard a spacecraft with the majority of Asgard’s population.
21. Ant-Man & The Wasp
The action takes place at the same time that Scott/Ant-Man is placed under house arrest as a result of his role in Captain America: Civil War when he comes across Hope and Hank, who are on the run since the police suspect they had a hand in the incident as well.

Everything seems to be going well until everyone unexpectedly disintegrates, with the exception of Ant-Man, who is stuck in the Quantum Realm.
22. Avengers: Infinity War
Thanos, who is already in control of the Power Stone, destroys the Asgardian spacecraft, killing Loki (for real this time) in the process, in order to get ownership of the Space Stone. He then sends his adopted children to Earth in pursuit of the Mind and Time Stones, while he travels to get the Reality and Soul Stones.
He then returns to the planet to retrieve his adopted children. Avengers: Infinity War is a superhero film about Thanos, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and almost every other superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe trying their hardest to prevent him from obtaining the Infinity Stones. However, as the film progresses, he claims each stone one by one, eventually wiping out half of the universe.
23. Avengers: Endgame
Five years have passed, and the world is still struggling to get back on its feet after having lost so much when Ant-Man returns from the Quantum Realm with an idea that might bring everyone back together. Tony and the intelligent Hulk discover a means to time travel, and they, together with the surviving heroes, journey back in time to various periods in history to locate the Infinity Stones before Thanos destroys the universe.
As soon as they reunite, they utilise the stones to bring everyone back but Thanos has returned as well, and all of the Avengers must band together to destroy him. Iron Man attempts to rescue the day with a single click of his fingers, but he is killed in the process.
24.Spider-Man: Far From Home
Peter is still mourning Tony’s death the following year when he embarks on a school vacation to Europe at the same time that the continent is being assaulted by Elemental creatures. During the battle against the Elementals, Nick Fury comes and gives Peter Tony’s old glasses, which provide him access to all of Stark Industries’ resources.
Peter then partners up with Beck, a superhero from throughout the universe, to fight the Elementals. With the mistaken belief that Beck is the saviour the world needs, Peter hands over Tony’s glasses. However, it turns out that Beck is not a superhero at all, but rather an ex-Stark employee who had been wanting the glasses the whole time. Beck is finally stopped by Peter and his allies, but not before he gets Spider-Man into some serious trouble.
25. Shang-Chi & The Legend Of The Ten Rings
Shaun/Shang-Chi is in San Francisco at the time of these events when he is ambushed by the Ten Rings, a criminal organisation controlled by his father. While on his way to find his sister, Xialing, he is intercepted by the Ten Rings, who take both of them to their father, who informs them that he is on his way to find their deceased mother in a place called Ta Lo.
In Ta Lo, their aunt informs them that their father is being used by the Dweller-in-Darkness monster to free him and that they must band together in order to prevent him from achieving his goal of liberating him. They are unable to stop the Dweller-in-Darkness from escaping, but with the assistance of a dragon, they are able to vanquish him and rescue the day!
26. Eternals
In fact, it turns out that a race of immortals known as the Eternals has been hiding on Earth since the beginning of time, guarding humans against the divergent and other threats. They believe that is their only responsibility, but in reality, they are simply responsible for ensuring that mankind progresses to the point when a massive Celestial may be birthed from the Earth’s core.
27. Spider-Man: No Way Home
Peter’s life has taken a turn for the worst when Mysterio disclosed Spider-Man’s’secret identity’ and accused him of being responsible for the assaults in London. Others suspect him of being a killer, the press would not leave him alone, and he is denied admission to a university with his companion.
